TransUnion’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) Africa was named a finalist in the Top GBS Emerging Operator Award category. This category recognises an organisation that excels at every operational level; has robust people processes; reward and recognition opportunities; continuous development focus; and shows significant progress against its initial implementation plan.
“The BPO and GBS sectors in South Africa are growing rapidly as South Africans are recognised for our work ethic, our commitment to learning and our determination to provide excellent service. This rapid growth means that competition for the industry’s elite awards is increasing as well, and we are so proud of Nomzamo and our big group of finalists, just as we congratulate the various category winners,” said Shobana Maikoo, Head of the GCC Africa. “We are showing South Africans that starting a career in a contact centre role in a larger GCC is just the beginning, and we are redefining perceived glass ceilings in the BPO sector as steppingstones to successful careers.”
Debasis Panda, SVP of Operations and GCCs Head at TransUnion, added, “Having such a big group of finalists in this prestigious awards programme is a true testament to the strong talent we have at TransUnion, and it further inspires us to create sustainable career opportunities and building a world-class workforce through ongoing learning and upskilling opportunities. It also highlights the exceptional work our talent acquisition team and local leaders are doing in finding, building and retaining top talent.”
