Jason Hawkins Appointed Chief Financial Officer at TransUnion Africa

Global information and insights company TransUnion Africa is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Hawkins to Vice President (VP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Africa, effective 1 November 2024. Hawkins has served as the acting CFO for Africa for the past four months, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic business partnership throughout this period.

Hawkins joined TransUnion Africa in 2014 and has since led multiple functions within its finance team, including financial planning and analysis, billing, accounts receivable, and revenue management. Known for his expertise in commercial finance, he has driven value-added processes that enhance core customer agreements and supplier arrangements. His efforts have strengthened billing and revenue assurance controls and improved TransUnion Africa’s day sales outstanding position, showcasing his dedication to operational excellence.

With over 25 years of finance experience, Hawkins’ career includes 19 years at Coca-Cola South Africa, where he held various finance management roles, including Finance Manager for Stills & Specialty Beverages and Group Accounting & Budgeting Manager. His extensive experience spans more than 25 countries and includes board roles, such as serving on the TransUnion Africa Provident Fund as Trustee and Chairperson. He has also held past board roles with the Coca-Cola Provident Fund and as a non-executive director for PETCO Recycling.
